Help! Need chocolate/cocoa finger food recipes and ideas...

I am not much of a cook, but thought maybe all you gourmands might be able to give me some ideas...

I want to throw a "chocolate theme" engagement party for my brother. I'd like to have finger foods (no silverware to deal with) that either have cocoa/chocolate as part of the recipe or are paired well with chocolate (perhaps as a sauce on the side). Desserts and sweets aren't a problem... got plenty of ideas for that one. It's the actual food that I'm having issues with.

I've heard of cocoa dusted scallops (though I can't find an actual recipe). And I've also heard of using cocoa in a rub for pork, but not sure how I can turn that into finger food.

Any other ideas or thoughts about it? I really appreciate any guidance you have to offer!

    Cocoa dusted foie gras on a crepe or blini!! Serves cold so it's easy on the timing. Make the crepe/blini chocolate flavor would be perfect.

      Spicy to me works with sweet. Maybe some mild spice entrees to cut down on all those sweets

        Thanks for the suggestions! I was hoping to serve 4-6 different finger foods, but I'm starting to think I won't be able to have chocolate/cocoa in ALL of them, or it might be a little overwhelming. Looks like I'll have to try something that may balance the richness of some of the chocolate foods.

            It took some tracking down, but this finger-lickin good recipe for chocolate ribs is soooo worth it! Video offers a handy tutorial. Enjoy!

              Here's a few recipes we've already tried. The chili was our least favorite.

                Sorry, I love the chili, but I love hot or spicy and savory. all different. Some look good.

                Small skewers of steak rubbed with cocoa and spices are great
                I use a blend of cocoa chili powder and cocoa some sugar for a dry rub and then grill. A nice blue cheese dipping sauce is great with this.

                Also, Steak kabobs with a chocolate dip. Marinate the steak with salt and pepper, a little ground coffee and some chocolate and olive oil and seasoning and then marinade over night. Grill and serve with a chocolate dip

                1 1/2 cups dark chocolate
                3/4 cup heavy cream
                2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
                Some honey to sweeten

                Chocolate pasta is great like a chocolate mole. Great. Also a simple fruit sauce over the chocolate pasta.

                chocolate ravioli is great too.

                A slow rubbed pork roast with spices and chocolate is great pulled pork and served on a bun.

                Someone always gave me small thin strips of salmon skewered with a white chocolate sauce is you are interested.

                Chocolate martinis

                Chocolate dipped fruit of course and bruscetta with a fruit dip, cream cheese and chocolate. Easy put always works. Pound cake (yes store bought. I dip 1/2 in chocolate and then the other half in preserves and then serve with a dollop of marscapone cheese.

                Figs filled with gorgonzola and served with a drizzle of raspberry and white chocolate. Fondu of course.

                Shrimp I heard are good with a light chocolate dusting but never tried. Can't help there.
