Sully's Southie: A Rite of Spring

Despite the forecast, spring is coming. Nice piece in today's Globe by Billy Baker on Sullivan's hot dog and burger shack at Castle Island in South Boston. They have extended their traditional 75-cent season-opening special on hot dogs through Tuesday this year. My favorite is the double cheeseburger on a grilled bun and the waffle fries. Something about the seasoned grill and simplicity of this place makes it worth the field trip a couple of times a year.

I've eaten all over the country. Lots of great restaurants and some incredible menus, but somedays a dog from Sully's is better than anything I've ever eaten.
