Emerald Market Supply in Seattle has it. They used to be just south of Safeco field but have moved to 4th Ave S just south of Costco. 1# was about $3.

    5315 4th Ave S

Wal-Mart has pink salt in the sporting good section. My guess the pink salt is in the sporting good section for the purposes of smoking game meat.

I just order it online. Order a batch and it keeps forever. If you really need it now, I could probably spare some.

Somebody else just got the Ruhlman book. Let us know where you find it.

They had the curing salt? When I asked about pink salt there, they only had Himalayan Pink Salt, which is definitely not the same thing.

Ask for Sodium Nitrate then there won't be any misunderstanding.

You can usually find just about anything at Market Spice ... in The Market of course.
