Stopping here on my way to Clearwater in March. Any good but cheap suggestions for dinner?

Thanks

I'm going to jump on this post as well. Will be staying in Richmond Hill this weekend with friends and although am very familiar with restaurants in Savannah, was wondering if there was anything chowish in the Richmond Hill area in case we don't get into Savannah. Our friends are new to the area so don't know many places yet.

Recs for me don't have to be cheap though (would like to take our friends for a thank you dinner), $15 - $20sih entree would be ok.

And dwharff, if I find any good cheap eats, will report back too!

Hi, guys. I'm from Savannah but sometimes wind up having lunch or dinner in the Richmond Hill area with business associates. Of the places available down that way, I can recommend Steamers Restaurant & Raw Bar (north side if U.S. 17 to the east of I-95) for seafood, and Southern Image Restaurant on the south side of U.S. 17 for pretty decent southern buffet-style food.

Thanks Buddha! I didn't get a chance to check chowhound after we got on the road so missed your message, but we go and stay with our friends at least once a year, so will be sure to check these out next time. As it was, we didn't end up going out to eat at all (stayed in and had great home cooked meals!). We were tired and so opted to stay in. The only thing I saw on our trips back and forth to the house were chains and a place called Glazer's which appeared to be just your run of the mill pub/bar.

My friend said there is quite the debate on what Richmond Hill wants to allow for expansion. Some feel they are missing the boat for revenue compared to rapidly expanding Pooler and others want to keep Richmond Hill small and quiet.

Hope dwharff goes and reports back something delicious!! :)
