We're going to the City Playhouse Theatre tonight and hope we can find sushi nearby - can you help?
Thanks!

There are 3 or more in the area, none that I think are very good.

Hockey Sushi - is probably the best of the bunch and they offer an AYCE menu.

Ginza - is always packed, i don't know why, rushed and the rolls are poorly executed (they have also been flagged a number of times by food and safety
    )http://www.ginzasushi.ca/

Also the newly opened Maki Sushi, probably the worse sushi I have had in my life

they also served people at my table PC cola.. a first in a restaurant for them.

Also i would recommend VIP sushi on Yonge street.

don't do it!! i've eaten there once and had take out there once (neither were my choice)....both were awful....it's inexplicably busy as well...well maybe not inexplicably, it is AYCE...caters to a certain crowd i guess.

ok, so if I want sushi in that area, where should I go?

there is now good sushi in the area as I said before, but the best of the worse is Hockey Sushi IMO

VIP sushi on yonge is a little further away, but it is also a much better AYCE sushi place then Hockey. Also there is a sushi place across from ginza on yonge (might be called all star sushi?) that is supposed to be good, but i have never been.

Ginza and Hockey are also very small and crammed feeling, Maki is new (opened a month or so ago) and has a larger space, but was the worse sushi I have had, the place stunk of bad fish...

We ended up going to VIP - good choice :-) Sushi was fresh, service was friendly and efficient. Heck, they even refilled our tea three times! Thanks for the reco!
