Chandler breakfast recs needed
We don't have many great breakfast locations here in Chandler proper. Do you mind traveling just a little bit?
In Chandler there is the Hangar Cafe. This is at the Municipal Airport. IT's a fun place to eat, especially if you have any aviation fans in your group. Typical greasy spoon breakfast. Solid but nothing fancy.
If you head east just a few miles there's Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert(right around Power and Ray Roads, about ten minutes from downtown Chandler). Especially given the weather right now this might be a great option, lots of outdoor seating. http://www.joesfarmgrill.com/
Heading north about ten minutes from downtown Chandler, there's a new Crackers adn Co at Priest and Elliot in Tempe. I haven't been there yet my sister keeps telling me the breakfasts are quite good and the other locations have been reviewed well here on CH. http://www.crackersandcompanycafe.com/
Finally, it's the furthest from Chandler but the Morning Glory Cafe at the Farm at South Mountain is a really great spot. We met our dinner club up there for brunch last Sunday adn again had a great meal in a wonderful setting(outdoors). The Farm is a local gem so if you've never been there you may want to try this. Particularly given the glorious mornings we're having. IT's about twenty minutes from downtown Chandler at 32nd Street and Southern. http://www.thefarmatsouthmountain.com...

Thanks for great recs!
Yep love the Farm at So. Mtn. BUT have never been there for breakfast. Would be easy to swing around that way.
The Hangar Cafe sounds like fun, husband would love the airplanes. We go to the Deer Valley Airport on occasion for their breakfast.
Since husband HATES to drive further than 5 or 6 miles, lol, and is already whining about having to drive to Chandler. LOL I think going any further away from the area would send him over the edge. I used to live in Cave Creek and when we were dating I'd joke that he'd have to pack a lunch just to come see me. ;)
Too late for this trip, but you should try Brunchies. It's across from the San Marcos resort there in Chandler. There is usually a wait, but if you like biscuits and gravy this is a great place. They also have a nice fruit plate and Mexican food, so a little something for everyone.
Also, can't beat the San Marcos resort for Prime Rib on Saturday nights!
