looking for a decent, moderately priced brunch spot near GCT...any suggestions?

  1. Cibo is on the corner of 2nd Av. & 41st St. We haven't done brunch there is a very long time, but it was good then, and I haven't heard any recent reports to the contrary. I should note that when we went, there were more lunch-style dishes on the menu than there are now, which suited us better than the current menu because we don't care to have breakfast foods when we go for brunch.

I agree with the Cibo recommendation. We went a few months ago and everyone enjoyed their selections: butternut squash soup, mussels, pancakes, turkey/stuffing sandwich, scrambled eggs, etc. The muffin/banana bread basket was very good. Service was warm and friendly. They also allowed us to use the 20% off offer ( see website for details)so the brunch was a super bargain. Food was tasty, plentiful, and beautifully presented.
