Where to buy aji dulce peppers in/and around Southern NH

I am trying to replicate my Puerto Rican friend's family sofrito recipe. I've got all the ingredients, with the exception of one! I cannot find aji dulce peppers and wondered if anyone knew where I could purchase some. I am thinking a Latino market would have them, but just not sure of the nearest one. Maybe in Manchester?

If anyone has any help or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I had never heard of the aji dulce pepper so I did a search. It is not hot so one recommendation was to substitute with a green bell pepper. I would think using a pickled pepper would give you too much of a vinegar taste.

hi guys...thank you both for your suggestions!
i just so happened to be in the international aisle in Shaw's tonight and came across a bottle of Aji Picante Peppers...says they're pickled, but I'm thinking these might be the same peppers I was looking for, except in a jar with some pickling juice. I checked the produce department for the peppers without any luck. I still might stop by the market in Manchester since I'll be there tomorrow anyway. If not, I think I might try making the sofrito with a few of these. Why not right? I'll let you know how it turns out. I'm making rice and ribs using the sofrito...can't wait!

I think these are the peppers that Daisy Fuentes uses in her sofrito as well. Good luck if you land some locally. I resorted to buying them on the internet. More expensive that way, but not too bad.

check manchester's asian market on Maple Street - "Saigon Asian Market" or in Lowell on church street - huge international market called "Battambang Supermarket".

good luck, that's one ethnic food I haven't done much, but would like to. I know there are many in Lawrence and some in Lowell so you might it.
