Buddakan or Tao? ..or?

Looking for fun place with atmosphere similar to Buddakan for 6-8 people to celebrate 35th birthday. Any suggestions?

DEFINITELY NOT TAO! What a shame...PLace used to be good....I couldnt even eat my food the last time I went there.

Cabanas at The Maritime Hotel (the weather will be nice tomorrow)
The Living Room at The Standard Hotel
Plunge at Hotel Gansevoort (a bit obnoxious, overpriced and loud...but the space is beautiful...good stop BEFORE dinner)
