Need a restaurant in/near Piscataway, NJ

We are meeting friends from California in May and need a recommendation for a
restaurant in or near Piscataway. Nothing too pricey, we especially like Sushi, any
other Asian cuisine or Italian. Thanks - Lindy Lou

There are a lot of good options in New Brunswick, but I'd also suggest Cafe Primavera on JFK Blvd in Somerset. It's Italian, with a large menu, inexpensive, BYO.

Not in Piscataway but in nearby Highland Park are two wonderful restaurants, Pithari Taverna and Seven Hills of Istanbul. If you really want Asian or Italian, I would cross the river into New Brunswick. Search "New Brunswick" and you will find many discussions about the restaurants there.

In Edison: Wonder Seafood on Route 27 just north of Plainfield Avenue (called Stelton Road in Piscataway), an excellent Hong Kong style place.

Girasole in Bound Brook is always a favorite. BYOB. May want to make a reservation.

for italian- lou cas is in edison which is about 20 minutes from the center of piscataway. new brunswick is right there though and there are PLENTY of good options there too- daryl, steakhouse 85, makeda, etc. also lucas ristorante is about 2-30 minutes away in somerset and is consistently good.
