LA Weekly Gold Standard?

mollyomormon Feb 26, 2009 11:16 AM

I'm not even sure if this is the first one or if there have been ones in previous years. If there have been and you attended, was it worth it?

thanks!

This is the first one... We'll be there, the idea of snacking on Provience and Kyo-chon is just too delighful for us to ignore... :DDD

The thing is, having organzed these types of events before, I am seriously scaling down expectations... Not so much for the Providence since they have done this sort of thing before, but for the Jitlada and Babitas who may not exactly have the experience of feeding people on masse like this...

Yeah, I was wondering. The list isn't exactly the usual suspects in terms of the other big food events in town like Taste of the Nation so it'll be interesting to see how they do. Maybe we'll see you there!!

Totally... I'll be the shorty with a recycled sail backpack with a bike helmet hanging off it. Parking is going to be BIACH! and It'll ease some of that fried goodness guilt... LOL!

The tickets are $60, is that all you can eat and drink. The website doesn't have a lot of specfics. Plus are they limiting the tickets because otherwise it could be too crowded.
