Fish in Westwood

Is there a reasonable fish restaurant, or place to get a fresh grilled fish, in or near Wesrtwood?

  1. whe you say 'reasonable,' what do you mean? reasonable quality? price? (if you mean price please specify what a reasonable price is to you).

to my tastes, if i were in westwood wanting grilled fish i would drive east to the Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills. this is not a cheap place, but the food they have served me has always been top quality.

how about fish grill on wilshire near barrington, right next door to a fatburger and a ross.

      great fish, cheap, and good.

    2. palominos has grilled salmon on their menu. however, they have various fish specials on a daily basis.

      1. I once had a great piece of fish at Bruschetta on Westwood Blvd. Maybe I just got lucky. Been wanting to go back. I am not alone in saying the good seafood is getting hard to come by. Good luck.

        1. There used to be a place selling simply grilled fish on the north side of Wilshire, about midway between Barrington and Bundy, almost across from the McDonald's. I think it was even kosher. It was near the SavOn and Rubio's and a pita place, which may actually have replaced it.

didn't know you posted already on this one.

            It's called Fish Grill.

i second this rec., unless you happened to be looking for a sit-down restaurant.

          2. ..."reasonable fish restaurant"...

I'm interpreting that to mean reasonable as to it's cost.

Not mentioned so far is La Serenata Gourmet on Pico about 1 to 2 blocks west of Westwood Blvd. A branch location from the original restaurant which some people think is the best Mexican Fish restaurant in L.A. They have 6 grilled fish choices on their standard on-line menu for around $15. My problem is I've never ordered the fish there as I usually get my fish fix at a Sushi place. So this post is more of an FYI.

There really is NO restaurant that specializes and/or excels in serving Grilled Fish in Westwood proper that I can think of.
