MSG?
We will be going to an event next week at MSG. Last couple of times we ate at Seven, but the food there is really very mediocre and expensive for what you get. Can anyone recommend some other alternatives no more than a few blocks away? (I don't want to go as far as Artinisal that older posts recommend). Thanks everyone!

korea town is within walking distance - lots of good choices there....
this is the sort of search yelp excels at - go to the reviews of MSG and under the map will be a link to search for nearby (within 4 blocks) restaurants. you can then expand that search to w/in a mile if u dont see anything in the 4 block radius you like

re: LeahBaila
Went to Lugo Cafe last night before the tennis event at MSG. It was perfect. So much nicer than Seven. Shared mussels appetizer, then we each had salad & pizza, thin crust, individual size, tasty. Can't be a better location for a MSG event. Thanks for recommending it LeahBaila.

re: synergy
Glad to hear it, synergy. It's definitely a "hidden gem" in the area, that's for sure. Thanks for the feedback!

My first pick would be Keens, on 36th St., b/t 5th & 6th Avs. If prices in the main dining room are too high for your budget, the Pub Room's prices are gentler.
Uncle Nick's, on the corner of 8th Av. & 29th St., serves tasty Greek food. Menu on menupages.com.
Biricchino, the Italian restaurant, is across the street, on 29th, just east of 8th. We've not eaten there, but Hounds who have say the food's good.
