Great Pizza..Big Island..Kealakekua Area..Chris bakery

Just discovered today a fabulous pizza joint on the Big Island, Kona side, near Captain Cook.
It can be found at Chris Bakery on the main Hwy across from Discovery Antiques. It is basically a take-out window next to Chris bakery. What a great pizza...delicious thin crust New York style pie. Great toppings, cheesy goodness...friendly owner. Served with a ton of Aloha!
We will definitely be back. Very affordable as well $20 for a lge 8 slice pie. It is basically just a take-out spot. One small outdoor table in front of the bakery side or in your car.

  1. This post piqued my interest, so I checked it out when I was in Cpt Cook last weekend.... really great pizza (tastier than Kona Brew Pub grub). 2 guys running the show (one incidentally named 'Chris,' but absolutely no relation to the 'Chris Bakery'). Apparently the pregnant lady who just bought 'Chris Bakery' wants to move the shop to the right side of the building, so the guys may be moving to the original shop side of the bakery.
Only had room for a single slice ($3) with a really simple topping of olives and spinach, with a perfect amount of pesto drizzled on top of the gooey mozza cheese. Really tasty; almost turned the car around to order a whole pie, but couldn't figure out a way to bring it back with me to Oahu.
