Bulk/health food stores in River North (or nearby)

Any suggestions on where I can find bulk items like French lentils, rolled oats, quinoa, etc. OTHER than the Whole Foods on Huron. Organic nice but not required.

I've heard about Kramer's on South Wabash and Maple Street Market (~1050 north between Dearborn and State), any other suggestions?

Heh, I had the same question a few weeks ago and I started looking online. Surprisingly, on Amazon.com, there's several vendors sellings specialty lentils for about $3/lb. Not the cheapest thing in the world, but if you buy over $25, the shipping is free.

I don't think Kramer's has bulk items...not totally sure though. I do like to eat lunch at their cafe upstairs though.

      Good question.

Yesterday I happened to drop in to Maple Street Market. While no bulk items there, it was simply because they buy in bulk then package themselves. I suppose you could ask them to do it for you. The manager (I'm assuming) was VERY nice and told me that on the first Monday of every month, they put everything with a white tag (regularly full priced items) on sale for 20% off. NB: They had a sign up that said "Under New Management"
