Great steak/veggies in central RI

So now I suddenly find myself trapped on a very, very restrictive diet due to health concerns. No starches but brown rice. No sugars that aren't naturally occuring in vegetables. No dairy (aside from yogurt). Absolutely no fruit. And no desserts.

... I know. Hell, right?

I still want to be able to enjoy a great meal with my friends, though. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant where I could get a great grilled steak and some interesting veggie dishes that don't involve an insane amount of cream or butter? Sugar and fermented foods are another concern, so whereas my default is always Asian food, I'm pretty much SOL there.

Hopefully someone has a suggestion more moderately priced than the Capital Grille... I know I can pay a premium for what I need, dietary-restriction-wise. But I'm sincerely hoping I don't have to see a price tag from that $$$-level of restaurant every weekend for the next few months.

Help???

    Hi,
I would not recommend Capitol Grill grilling a steak is a no brainer. Plus who eats a pound baked potato and 2 pounds of mashed potatoes. In a restaurant steak is priced pretty high espically Tenderloin and Sirloin my favorite is Delmonico thats the expensive one. My opinion go to whole foods spend a few bucks on a aged steak you can prepare it at home with an nice salad plain grilled asparagus, and a Big Red Wine. If you need a restaurant just do Garden Grill or Rasoi for tasty vegetables Broadway bistro is excellent also as well as Nicks on Broadway plus the $10 bucks you save on parking you can enjoy another beer.
