Restaurant Week suggestions

I'll be visiting my family in Mass. next month and just got an email from my dad asking me to pick out a few restaurants to make reservations for Boston's Restaurant Week. Their site is not the best to navigate. For a while now I've wanted to visit Oleana, but they appear to not be part of the program. Any suggestions for great RW restaurants? We're open to any cuisine and any neighborhood is fine, as we'll have a car.

Where are you plotting to go and why? Thanks!

  1. I've made 3 reservations:
Lunch at Asana (@ Mandarin Oriental)
    Lunch at Marliave
Both of these offer the 2-course light lunch option. Marliave's lunch RW menu has plenty of choices.

Dinner at BiNA - no menu available but we really want to try given all the raves here.

    1. If you'll only be in town for a short while, I'd suggest keeping an open mind about only doing RW restaurants. While there certainly are very good restaurants participating, a lot of other places are currently doing prix fixe specials very similar to what you get with RW, particularly in "honor" of the sliding economy. If you're open to this, you'll get a lot more options (although I'm not sure of any deals at Oleana). There was a thread on this topic not long ago that listed out dozens of good deals restaurants are offering right now - including prix fixe meals, but also happy hours, dollar-oysters, etc.
