...No? So either it's a food black hole or less touristy than I expected!

Just got the new Michelin Red Guide.
3 Listings for Regensburg: www.Rosenpalais.de,(2 1/2 forks), David at www.hotel-bischofshof.de and www.silbernegans.de, each 2 forks.
      That is it.
      Enjoy.

Thanks, Marc. There are some web comments on the two you mention, but all in German! A few other places are quite well talked of, and I hope at least one of the Indians will be good.

No need to go to Indians - just walk around, walk into the places and have a look. There should be plenty of interesting restaurants / beerhalls / winestuben and the like. Just nothing "stared" or foodwise "exceptional". But most likely historic or medevial, and at a nice place it is not necessarily the food that counts!
If you are ready to discover on your own you certainly will be satisfied!

I live in a curry-free zone, so travelling always has to include at least one!

Well, I'm forced to reply to my own posts on this one, apart from Marc's welcome comments, so investigations have come up with the info that one of the most poular places to go is a Kurdish restaurant called Exil. A Kurdish restaurant will be a first for me, anyway. I wonder what the cuisine is like?
