What to do with Forbidden Rice?

I couldn't resist a BOGO sale at igourmet.com and tomorrow I will be blessed with 2 packages of Forbidden Rice. The description "had me at hello", but I have never had it before.

I have no idea what to do with it. Any ideas?

  1. forbidden rice and farro, prepared like a risotto. give it Sicilian flair with some toasted pine nuts and currants, maybe topped with winter greens cooked with garlic.

        I had to read them very carefully though because it seemed some people were throwing all these ideas out that would not work with forbidden rice (I assume that not ALL black rice is the same.)
        I DID find a few good ideas

      2. This was a sucess. I call it vegan rice pudding and was a perfect desert for a gluten free, dairy free friend.

        1. I like to cook it like regular rice and add in some chopped colorful bell peppers, cucumbers, and halved cherry tomatoes. I add in chopped cilantro and some jalepeno too. For a dressing- lime juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, red pepper flakes
