Quiet Drinks near Embarcadero?

Do you guys have suggestions on a place to grab drinks (work-related) near Embarcadero that is relatively quiet (so as to be able have conversation)? I was thinking Americano but that is likely too noisy...

It's about 6/10th of a mile down Market, but the Pied Piper Bar in the Palace Hotel would be quite nice.

I haven't been forever but Waterfront Restaurant, next to the Ferry Bldg, is quiet and has a full bar. The food was so-so way back then but a bar is a bar, most of the time.

Sens is usually quiet. I think the Holding Company pretty much always is. Both in Embarcadero Center.

Perry's, One Market, Mexico DF, Chaya Brassiere, and Marketbar are some nearby locations you might consider.

One Market is way too noisy!

You're right about Americano, gemster, you have to shout to make yourself heard. But the (under-rated) food there is great if you decide to dine.
