Considering Lanzarote for holiday
And we're finding very little on restaurants. Any advice, recommendations would be welcome. Also interested in prices, including alcohol and wine. Thanks.

Having booked an apartment in Playa Del Carmen (view of the marina), I'm topping this and hoping for replies.

LIke most of the other Canaries, Lanzarote is very touristy and popular with us north europeans. I normally visit Tenerife most years but my inlaws went to Puerto/Playa del Carmen a few years back.
Don't hold your breath expecting to find really great restaurant recommendations. You might find a "locals" website but these are likely to give information about places away from the tourist areas and , of course, will be in Spanish.
It might be worth you trying to seek out tourist review sites to find any of the better places (I have it mind Lanzarote is more popular with Germans than we Brits). Although part of Spain, the Canaries are outside the European Union, so booze prices will be cheaper than the mainland.
Expect to pay around 25 Euros for three courses at an average touristy place - salad, meat & veg, flan - without drinks or tip (which should be minimal, say 5%)

As it turned out, we found many good to very good places to eat - all over the island. Seafood was excellent, as expected. What surprised us a bit was that the beef was quite good as well. Wine was quite reasonably priced - downright cheap at the grocery store for home sipping. Less than $2 a bottle for something quite acceptable (red). Rose was quite nice in the restaurants on a hot afternoon. We simply looked for the crowded places, assuming the locals would know where to go. Only went wrong once the entire week, and I suspect that was more because of what we ordered rather than where we went. BE WARNED: Many places did NOT take credit cards!

The best restaurants are found in what locals call the "Old Town", or varadero.
However, Puerto del Carmen has also flourished with some interesting foreign cuisine places, like Mexican and Japanese.
Emma´s Cantina, in Calle Teide, Old Town, is Mexican. Quite good actually.
For typical Spanish head to La Lonja in the Old Town or Puerto Viejo, both quite good.
And, last but not least, plenty of Italians to choose from. My favorite is Pizzeria Capri, the oldest Italian place in the island really. It is located in the main strip of beaches in PUerto del Carmen, and their pizzas and pasta are very good value.
Happy Eating
