Where to buy a pig's head

Hi, I'm planning to make head cheese soon and was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere (perhaps in the International District?) where i could buy a whole smallish pig head?

Also, does the head typically come with glands and such already removed? Any idea on a price range?

Thanks so much!

I think I've seen them in that big Vietnamese supermarket on 12th and Jackson.

Uwajimaya can get them for you special order. Depending on the day you order, they can have a fresh one the next day. They're not very expensive.

Sea Breeze Farms on Vashon sells pork at U and Ballard markets. I am sure if you call in advance they would provide one. Their pork is fantastic, as is Wooly Pigs.

I bought a pig head from the wooly pig people at the U-district Farmers Market last year. It was $1/Lbs unfortunately when I got it home it had no ears or tongue.

lol They had been removed by the farmer and I assume sold for more than $1/lbs
