I used to really like the merguez at Greta's but alas it closed down quite a while back.

and simon's cafe is great too.

any others, especially joints that may make a sandwich with some fries and harissa sauce?

My brother-in-law and his wife, both merguez fanatics, raved about the sandwiches they had at Dijonnais in Culver City. Since neither of them offered anyone else a bite I'll have to take their word for it.

le petit bistro has good merguez. Jeff's gourmet mergues aren't that legit -- taste sort of like a regular hot dog with some extra seasoning.
