Fish specialty in Detroit area - the to-go kind

I'm about to visit a friend of mine in NY who delights in regional fish specialties. I would like to bring her walleye or some other lake fish that is preserved in some way - canned, pickled, smoked, dried, you name it - I'm basically looking for something local to Michigan that I can transport. I'm in the greater Detroit area and I'd be grateful for any suggestions on where to find something like this. Thanks.

What about Superior Fish Co. in Royal Oak? Their website even mentions "smoke whitefish sausage" (!).

You could try Nino Salvaggio or Papa Joe's, as well.
Does anyone know of a local fishery? That would be the most "authentic" place to purchase, I imagine.

Zingerman's in Ann Arbor has a lot of smoked fish. Smoked whitefish salad might be something you wouldn't run across in NYC every day.

Right down the block from Zingerman's in Kerrytown is Tracklements, which has a lot of different smoked salmon and may have some Michigan fish.
