Walk In Wok Out Bloor Brunswick - A quick review -
Walk In WokOut opened at 495 Bloor West, ( just west of Brunswick, South side of Bloor), about a week ago.
(O.K. I feel a little wierd reviewing what is essentially a fast food outlet.)
Walk in WokOut looks and feels like a fast food chain. (It isn't, this is the first location).
It is fast food; noodles, rice or salad. Having chosen your base which includes a sauce, and some basics ($5 approx), you then have a short menu of additions and supplements, (protein $3.00, veg. $1.50, each). These are all then prepared/cooked in full view, behind the counter, swiftly.
They are proud of the fact that everything is prepared fresh on the premises, including all the sauces. For eating in, the surroundings are sparse and clinical. ( my guess is that they anticipate a large take-out crowd.)
Their closest competition in terms of offering is Noodle Bowl, just down the street near Spadina on the North side of Bloor. (I prefer Noodle Bowl).
At the moment they are enthusiastic, asking you how it all was etc.
For $11.00 all in, I had perfectly acceptable quick lunch.

It was pretty good, nothing too amazing but like you said "an acceptable meal". it really hit the spot for me too because I was drunk and there were no other places open at 3 am. I was surprised they were open that late, i guess they're trying to take advantage of the bar crowd (like myself).
The green coconut curry sauce i ordered was too hot for my liking (probably try the red coconut curry next time), but the food still tasted good, and I like the whole "choose your own meal" theme.
I'd give it an 8/10 overall, 9/10 if you're drunk.
