It's been at least a couple of years since I was there, but my impression was that they were trying hard to make real New Mexico type of food. They even had stuffed sopapillas, although they were a full-plate production instead of the singular objects I had in New Mexico. I also remember their chips and salsa being so good I couldn't stop eating them. Since it's about the only New Mexican food in the Bay Area, give it a try and see what you think. My exposure to real New Mexican food is limited.
