Looking for casual bistro like places for dinner in early March for single diner in the area around this hotel (that would manage with my very basic French).

    Why not Millesimes 62
    13 place de la Catalogne?
It's my favorite restaurant in this district

    Millésimes 62

I'm not quite sure where that hotel is, exactly, but you can't be too far away from La Cagouille, the wonderful fish bistro that I often dine at alone. Just thinking about that place makes me salivate!

oops. forgot to state it is at 14 place Konstantin Brancusi, near rue de l'Ouest. (in the 14eme).

La Cerisaie, 70, Blvd. Edgar Quinet. Small casual bistrots with just a few tables.
            Reservation an absolute must!

If you're a carnivore, try L'Opportun, 62, Blvd. Edgar Quinet.
            Phone: 01 43 20 26 89

Both within walking distance from Le Meridien.

              Thanks Dodo.

When I was looking at L'Opportun, I also came across a place called Le Chateau de l"Ouest on Rue Chateau-- any thoughts?
