Champagne cocktails / girly drinks, Village

I'm looking for a fun, preferably inexpensive (I live in Manhattan, so my expectations are not outrageous) place to take an old friend out for girly drinks, especially of the champagne cocktail variety. Cute and not too loud would be a plus. I would definitely like to stick to Manhattan, but somewhere in the Village would be extra nice (not necessary, though).
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much everyone! I think we might end up going to Bubble Lounge - it looks pretty perfect to me. I'm keeping other suggestions for later, though - seems this might become a regular thing. Y'all are great!

Temple Ba isn't inexpensive and it's pretty staid, no?

I think the prices are fair for the quality, and while I wouldn't call it staid - sophisticated? - it isn't cute or girly at all. (I love Temple Bar.)

I think the OP was looking for girly drinks not necessarily atmosphere and they do have things like champagne cocktail which the OP was interested in.

A little north of your ideal neighborhood, but Flute in Gramercy is all about the champagne.

I had drinks at the Standard Hotel in the MPD this weekend. Drinks were relatively reasonable and they had some champagne cocktails on the menu.

consider making reservations at Death and Co - I don't find the drinks expensive for what they are and they are extremely toothsome

Bubble Lounge in Tribeca... it is not that cheap, but they do have some lower priced sparkling wines and the place is very dressed up in brocades, golds and reds... Kind of chic bordello! It is a great place to go with a friend, there are many little seating areas for privacy. Enjoy! Grace is near by, that is a bit more 'manly' but they make great drinks... And you go to Walker's for dinner and Puffy's for after dinner drinks.

                  Enjoy!
