Staying at the W in Buckhead next week. Have one night for a meal out. Looking for fine dining options where I can eat solo at the bar. Not too stuffy. Don't mind a little bit of a scene. As long as someone's butt isn't in my food. Looking to spend in the 50-100 range all in. Don't mind a short cab if it's worth it. Never been to the area before. From my limited research seemed like Aria, Rathburn's, Bone's could be good options. Anyone have something better? Thanks.

  1. Buckhead Diner is a good choice. It is located on Piedmont Road in Buckhead. Your concierge or cab driver should be able to easily direct you. They have a chef's counter that is perfect for solo diners. You can chat with the chef or his assistants so it's less awkward than dining at a table or bar by yourself. Plus the food prep itself was entertainment enough. The cuisine is upscale Southern. You'll definitely have to save room for the Chocolate Banana Cream Pie.

    1. I would scratch Aria from the list. Definately more of a spot for couples and business dinners. Also pretty inconsistant from my experiences there. You might consider Blue Pointe if you like seafood. A bit of a see-and-be-seen atmosphere, but it's been a while since I was there and I can't remember if there's a bar for dining or not. Rathbun's is a great choice, but a bit further out from Buckhead.

      1. You might consider Craft, right across Peachtree Road and about 1/2 block south, although I couldn't comment on how it sets up for solo diners. There is a review here: http://www.accessatlanta.com/restaura...
