Last year we got live crayfish from a truck that meets you in a parking lot. Honest! You call and order a certain amount for a certain day.I lost the business card! Anyone know what I am talking about?

    Could it be Critter Runners?

CC - There's a place on Hwy 6 that does that. Years ago, they operated out of a truck in a Citgo parking lot and people came out in droves during crawfish season to buy them cooked as well as fresh. I guess they did such good business that they now opened up a store front next to the gas station. You can call them and place an order and pick it up without waiting. Last summer I was there every week buying boiled crawfish by the pound.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but the place is called Fresh Catch Seafood, it's on Hwy 6 South between Beechnut & Bissonnet. The owner's name is Mike.

        Is this live or boiled?

Dan - You can get both cooked food & live. I typically call ahead of time to find out what's fresh and how big the crawdads are. When they are Jumbo-size, that is the best! Also the boiled ones go for mild or spicy. The spicy can catch up with you after a while! Other items on the menu are fried catfish, fries & hush puppies, fried shrimp, fried crab, fried oysters, etc. Prices are very reasonable.
