I like Don Antonio's on 124 st & 107 ave. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best Mexican food in Edmonton and, as a plus, it's inexpensive.

Not new, but have you been to Sofra or Marathon?

there is a new Portugese place downtown called Sabre, have not been, looks interesting.

Sofra yes a few times, excellent. Marathon ...no (assuming it is greek) and Sabre sounds interesting. Thanks!

It is likely a reference to Ethiopia's dominance of international competitive marathon racing...like a Canadian restaurant being called ...Curling

glad you asked, my city memories got crossed. I grew up in Calgary moved to Eton 5 yrs ago and sometimes I get mixed up.

Marathon is in Calgary!! the place up here is Langano Skies near whyte ave.

                sorry for the confusion!

Just did a quick google search itwillmakeaturd as it sparked my interest and came up with; Nigest Ethiopian Restaurant (12424 118 Avenue NW). I've never heard of it. Curious to know if anyone has gone

Habesha Ethiopian 9515 118 Avenue or Boualouang Lao and Thai (The latter isn't that new, but it's new to me) at 10669 - 97 Street.

Habesha has a bit more atmosphere, and Boualouang only has 6 tables, if this has any bearing on your decision.
