Good takeout in West Palm area

I'm more of a dine out person then a takeout guy since I usually cook when I stay in, so when my girlfriend said she wanted to do a stay at home night and get takeout, I realized my only go-to options were pizza. I'm always up to try new pizza, but it's nice to have some variety every once in a while. For chinese, I've heard great things about Singing Bamboo, but really nowhere else. Any suggestions? BTW - my go to pizza joints in WPB are either CityPizza or Pizza Girls (I live downtown so convenience plays a role in that). But if it's slices and not whole pies, I avoid CityPizza.

  1. I tried Fong's Garden this weekend on Dixie in West Palm Beach. It was average at best. I ordered Crab Rangoons, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Shrimp Roll, Egg Roll and pork fried rice. The Crab Rangoons were overcooked and were mostly dough anyway. I would absolutely not recommend these. I've made much better rangoons at home. The sweet and sour chicken was on par with what you would expect. A nice crispy batter on the chicken, whcih was still quite juicy. The sauce was a little thin but nothing too terrible. The fried rice was very heavy. For me, I liked that about it. It had a LOT of pork in it, was rich in flavor and I couldn't stop eating it. It was the best part of the meal. The shrimp roll was pretty good as well. Nice pieces of shrimp in it that you could see throughout, and good flavor. Overall, not bad, but not great. I'll give it another try, but if it doesn't hold it's own, I'll move on.
