Okay. I just got a double-double animal style with chilies...and it was pretty great. They're yellow and have a really nice kick to them. I'm a happy man.

        Wait a minute...what's animal style???

    2. They always have had them (at least the last 20 years). Used to be three in a kind of salsa cup with lid, but now can get two in a prepack. Probably not as much waste.

All you have to do is ask for them, they dont have them out where you can see them.

      2. wooooooooooooooooah awesome.

          1. Oh, pshaw... The next thing you'll be trying to sell me is there is some sort of a secret menu or way of ordering there.

            1. Best part is that they'll grill the chiles upon request.

But you got to pull 1st, 2nd & 5th fingers out & sing the "Grilled chile Man! " tune.

Are you kidding or serious, ipse? A couple of grilled, charred chiles, mixed into the melty cheese and the In'n'Out sauce?! Wow, that sounds good. I gotta try it. I've outgrown my grilled onions phase (now that just tastes too burnt for me) so I'm interested in shaking things up! I do enjoy it when I remember to ask for pickles.

Not kidding. They'll grill them if you ask.

                2. This post makes me feel like I've been missing out on something. I had no idea they offered chilies! I'll have to tell my husband - he'll go nuts!!

                  1. Thanks for the tip, guys!

I got back from lunch a few minutes ago, where I had 'em add chiles to my double-double. They were sliced banana peppers that added a little vinegar tang and a little capsicum bite. A perfect counterpoint to the rich gooiness of the burger.

Just when you thought something couldn't be improved upon...

I was hoping for green chilis. Ah well.
