Good restaurants near Somerville Theater

I'm looking for good places within walking distance or a short drive to the theater. I love all kinds of ethnic foods. Looking for something a little different.

Short drive to Porter Square, I like the Thai food at Sugar and Spice, the "Excited Chicken" is always good.

I like Diva in Davis Square for Indian food. It's right up the street from the theater.

Also a short drive (or brisk walk) are Greek Corner and Addis Red Sea (Ethiopian), both on Mass. Ave. on either side of Porter Square.

Namaskar, Indian, and Martsa on Elm, Tibetan are across the street from each other and both very good.

Out of the Blue Restaurant, almost next door to Gargoyles. Good seafood with an Italian accent.

You have several options in Davis Square and vicinity. A few that come to mind are Gargoyles (a bit upscale, creative cuisine), Redbones (barbecue), Martsa on Elm (Tibetan), and Namaskar (Indian.) A little further afield, on Mass Ave. near Porter, is Cafe Barada (Lebanese), a ten-minute walk at most.

Do a board search for Davis Square
Couple that immediately come to mind - Gargoyles, Martsa on Elm, Namaskar, Elephant Walk.

Yep, what Bob said. Also, since you said 'drive', two close-by additions:

                    * Gran Gusto (Huron Village) - some of the best Neapolitan-style pizza I've had outside Italy, everything else is very good, free parking.

                    * Tu y Yo (Powderhouse Circle) - fairly refined Southern Mexican cuisine in a fun setting. Not as good as CH darling Angela's in Eastie, but definitely a marked step up from your run-of-the-mill Boston taco joint.
