Heading back to Key West for our annual visit. Any new places to try for 2009?
Also husband (meat & potatoes guy) would like to get a good filet mignon. Any ideas? Thanks!

There are a few new places:
Bad Boy Burrito, 1220 1/2 Simonton St., www.badboyburrito.com. The chef from 915 now also runs a great burrito and taco shop with a juicebar. Highly recommended.

Help Yourself, 829 Flemming St., www.helpyourselffoods.com. The space next to the laundry on Flemming and Margaret (formerly The Monsoon Cafe, which was formerly The Depot Diner) is now Help Yourself, a cafe specializing in organic/raw/natural foods.

I would suggest Michael's, 532 Margaret St., www.michaelskeywest.com, for the steak, filet or otherwise.

    Report back!

Unfortunately did not get to bad boy burrito or help yourself. It got cold & windy. We did try El Siboney this year & will go back again!
Ended up at A&B Lobster house for the filet because my dh wanted to try the gorgonzola potato gratin side. Turtle Krals now has a smoker. My husband loved the ribs.

A & B is one of the best seafood stops in Key West. We went twice this season and would highly recommend it - especially for oysters (cold water, not gulf- just the best).

A&B's conch chowder is the best
