much more of a likeness with the ears:)

                        3. cool!

                          1. Incredible. I wonder if it's odd for him to see his likeness on food. Here are he and Lincoln in cupcakes:

Yeah, I wonder, too. I bought a loaf of bread with Obama for election night, and another local bakery has Obama iced cookies and Obama chocolate bars (Hershey bars where they've replaced the original wrapper with one with pictures of Obama and the word "Hope").

How is a loaf of bread with Obama done? I've seen Obama cookies but I'll bet you had a much bigger selection in the bay area than those of us in most places.

I know people who had pictures of themselves on cookie giveaways for their wedding and everyone said it seemed weird to be eating their faces. But, I do phototransfers onto cakes with children in class all the time and the kids love them. They all want to eat their own faces, weird.

The Obama bread is done with a pattern of dark flour applied with a stencil. I'm not sure how it adheres, but it does, although it smears fairly easily. Here's the one I bought for election day (missing an edge I'd already cut off before thinking to photograph it). It's very good bread, BTW, and that was a 4 lb loaf.

                                    At what price point?

                                    Cheers, Ruth!

Ah, well, the price point ($20) was quite controversial on the SF board. Some people thought it was outrageously expensive and some people (like me), thought it was expensive but a reasonable value for something that serves the dual function of being a deliciously edible centerpiece.

At $20, I'd probably shellac it and save it for prosperity...

                            2. Kawaii!

                              1. That is AWESOME. I WANT ONE.
