London Suggestions?

In advance thanks to everybody for their insightful posts which helped me narrow down my list for our upcoming 5-day visit to London.

Here's what I've pared it down to-- I have 10 meals and intend to make use of every one of them!

Mexican-- Mestizo
Thai-- Busara Eathai or Rosa's
Pakistani-- Tayyab's (Whitechapel)
Lebanese-- Isabilia
Indian-- Amaya
Dim Sum-- Royal China or Pearl Liang
Ocakbasi -- 19 Numara Bos Cirrik 3 (the one by Hackney station)
Japanese-- Zuma or Roka or Sakura or Umu
Vietnamese-- Viet Grill on Kingsland Rd

Can you help me choose the proper Thai, Chinese and Japanese to complete our list, and make any suggestions to the others I've set upon?

Thanks in advance

  1. I would go for Busaba Eathai over Rosa's.
I've only been to Roka and Sakura of your Japanese options. I would go for Roka. Pricey though! Trendy.

    1. UMU for sure.. Zuma is outstanding but, UMU is the best Kyoto style restaurant outside of Japan that I have experienced.
Just as a note to be fair however, our reservation was made by another Michelin rated chef so we were taken care of very well. The food was thoroughly imaginative, interesting, and delicious. So many omakase options. I would not miss UMU. Zuma is a very strong second.
