Fresh soy milk in San Diego?

Are there any restaurants in SD that make their own soy milk? This past weekend, we went to Chin's Seafood and Grill for their Northern Chinese style breakfast. We were disappointed to learn that they didn't make their own soy milk...just bought it and heated it up.

Any leads?

  1. You can get it fairly fresh at most of the larger Asian markets, like 99 or the Vietnamese ones. But I've like the soy milk at Thanh Son Tofu the best:

    1. K Sandwiches used to, not sure if they still do. It was awesome.

Excellent. Thanks for the recommendations! I will try them out this weekend.

      2. Funny...while I was waiting for my take out I was speaking to the server about Chinese food and he recommended the soy milk at Shanghai City. I wasn't asking specifically about soy milk, but he suggested it. I'm not sure if they make their own, but he was pretty adamant about it. He said they have sweet and non-sweet/salty. I know nothing about soy milk and have never tried "fresh" so I'm not too sure about the req. If it matters, he was born in Hong Kong and immigrated here.

Oh, and he liked the non-sweet.
