Curious about La Toque and Bardessono
I'm interested in feedback on La Toque now that it's moved to the Westin in Napa and also about the recently opened Bardessono Inn restaurant. I'm trying to branch out on my "go to" restaurants and wondered if these are crowd pleasers for those who have tried them Thanks

Bardessono Inn is a beautiful green property. That said have had breakfast, lunch and apps in the cocktail lounge several times. All were good and worth a visit if you haven't been. Overall, I enjoyed the apps most with the exception of the cocktails a nice electic, creative list. And the drinks delivered. The cocktail lounge has a bit of a stark, Ikea feel to me.

Thanks Mick. Haven't tried the apps, but have been to the bar several times (love the napa sour cocktail which sounds like an odd mix, but is very good). Completely agree on the stark bar - PLEASE dim the lighting. Who looks good when they're sitting in a bus station. Also think they may want to consider toning down the bar as "kid friendly". Last two times I was there, kids were running all over the bar (more the parents issue, but resort should think of something). We made a dinner reservation there in a few weeks and look forward to trying it.

I found no mentions of Bardessono and La Toque only in passing by rworange who tested the menu at the Westin Bank Cafe, supposedly under the supervision of the chef Frank of La Toque.

re: wolfe
I've heard great things about LaToque, both in its previous location in Rutherford and its current in Napa. There was a thread here recently about best wine pairing restaurants in Napa and LaToque received very favorable comments in that regard. However I'm guessing chef Frank doesn't spend much time supervising the kitchen at the Bank Cafe as both times I've eaten there the food has been pretty bad. Your usual hotel restaurant food with poor service. Even something as decadent as a duck burger with foie wasn't executed well at all. LaToque, on the otherhand, I've heard nothing but great comments.
