Breakfast Fare in East L.A.

Have to be there tomorrow, near 3rd and Downey Road. Suggestions for any type of interesting breakfast options would be most appreciated.. TIA!

    Ciro's --down the street from El Tepeyac has really really good chorizo and eggs

          Thanks for the tip guys. Just got back from El Tepeyac and it was terrific! Had the huevos rancheros. Didn't see Machaca con Huevos on the breakfast menu, but was quite happy with the huevos in their really fresh tasting sauce.

            Might just say Machaca Plate, used to be about $8 2 years ago, now around $13, I make 2 meals of it.

              Bob, if you are ever looking for another option then I recommend you give Teresitas Restaurant a try for breakfast (or lunch or dinner). During the week they don't open until 10 AM but on Saturday and Sunday they open at 8 AM. Wonderful chiliquiles (that thread on the most excellent ones at Pepy's Galley in Mar Vista got me thinking about them).

                I always forget about Teresita's, I think because I eat breakfast early, but an excellent recommendation!
