Where in Baltimore do you want to be? Downtown or further out, and in which direction?

We were just at the Gin Mill in Canton, and they've done a really nice job of re-doing the place (last Fall?). There is a whole upstairs area that it might be worth asking if they would close off for a private party. Other places with upstairs that might do the same - Red Star (Fells), Waterfront (Fells), and Geckos (between Fells and Canton).

Thanks....I would like downtown and something kind of fun! I like your suggestions. How about Arcos(?) in Fells Point? I read they do private parties.

Waterfront Hotel does do private parties in their upstairs dining room, and so does Miss Irene's at the corner of Thames & Ann.

I had a 30-person private party in the upstairs room at Max's on Broadway (http://www.maxs.com/). We had the whole room to ourselves, they let you control the music if you want (or use satellite), and have AV equipment in case anyone wants to create a slideshow. They work with you on menu (typically you give them an idea of amount of money per person then you work together to figure out food options). Having the whole upstairs was great and gave the party a fun feel - plus, they have a bartender upstairs as well. Casual, but fun!
