Cooking class in Pasadena/SGV?

A friend, who loves food of all types (from the fancy pants to the super simple), is getting married and I would like to buy the couple a gift certificate for a cooking class in the Pasadena/SGV area.
It's been a couple years since I was last in Pasadena area, so I'm a bit out of touch with that area. I was hoping that the CA School of Culinary Arts would have a one-time class, but it looks like they only have career-oriented courses.

Mahalo for any suggestions!

Take a look at Hipcooks (www.hipcooks.com). They're closer to downtown (they're at the Brewery), but it's not too far from Pasadena. It's casual and informative and they have interesting menus/classes. It's a good one-time class gift for a couple.

I know the Culinary school doesn't teach classes... probably the best place is at Sur Le Table at the Grove...

Somebody I know did this. It's in LA though. Hope this helps.
