Ramen

Is there any place in New Orleans or the surrounding area to get good ramen?

    Ninja on Oak street has a pretty good Ramen. Served in a traditional Japanese way at lunch time. I think it's still on the menu and may be on in the evenings too. It has been on the menu since the restaurant was on Jeannette and was named Shigure.

        Before "the big one", you could get several ramen varieties at Yutaro on Williams. I can't say that I've seen it on any of the mainstream japanese menus around town...but if you chatted up the nice ladies behind the cash register at Asian Gourmet Market in Kenner, you could probably find out if any area restos have "off-menu" options. AGM is a japanese grocery store.
