My husband does not like olives, so the muff is out. Do they serve any other types of sandwiches there?
May I suggest Verti Marte http://www.vertimarte.com/ ? The All That Jazz sandwich is delicious. Oh, and if you wanted to try a muffaletta, I believe you can purchase 1/4 at Central Grocery.
We've never been to the Verti Marte but have been to the Quarter Master. We'll be in New Orleans later this week and we were wondering how the two compare. Thanks
Not a fan of "Dirty Mart".
First non fan of Verti Marte I've come across, JazzyB. I haven't eaten at Quarter Master, so I can't compare. I've also heard good things about Frank's.
I have a framed photo of the Verti Marte sign hanging in my Seattle apartment. Verti Marte saved my life, through happy little bike deliveries of booze and poboys, during an extended stay years back.
Funny, I've always know it as the "Dirty Verti" or plain "The Dirty" more of a term of endearment than a disparaging remark. A truly New Orleans establishment for me, brings back fond fuzy memories.
go to Frank's:http://www.franksrestaurantneworleans...
