The owner of Cafe N'awlins evidently had some financial trouble and had to get out of town fast. For the past several years, the site has hosted a very friendly Korean restaurant. Trade in your gumbo for bipimbap!

How about the owner and his brother were wanted by the F.B.I. for running a ponzi scam!

anyone happen to know if it resurfaced?
and or have a copy of their takeout menu? i remember that this tiny 5 table joint on san fernando road has some interesting dishes on the menu, of course cafun and creole that i have never seen on an la menu before.

anyone know if this joint showed up anywhere else?

Since the owner/chef is still on the lam from serving a prison term (as opposed to his serving the lamb) from the law I seriously doubt it.

Wow still on the lam, oh, ok. thanks. if you've been and really enjoyed it at the time, anywhere else as good that has those amazing crab cakes, shrimp creole, and or french chocolate silk pie?
