Sunday take-out in Lancaster, York, or anywhere in between?

  • 2

I'm looking for a place that will do take-out, preferably Amish food, but I can't be picky on a Sunday night. I know Miller's is open, but the only take-out they do are the baked goods. Any ideas? Thanks!

  1. Country Table in Mount Joy. It always gets top marks in the Central PA magazine annual vote for PA Dutch food, and being of that descent myself, it's the only place I go out for some "real home-cooking" in the way I think of it. Almost everything is available for take-out, and they have a great bakery to boot - I don't buy my kids birthday cakes anywhere else.

    1. Shoot, I didn't realize you needed it for a Sunday - now I see your problem. Good luck getting good PA Dutch food on a Sunday . . . kinda against their religion. I would consider pick-up Sat night, and reheating on Sunday if it's really PA Dutch food you are looking for. (which isn't exclusively "Amish" food, btw)
