More Excellent food in Sarasota

Last Sunday I went to the "Cork" in St. Armonds Cr in Sarasota. No reservations, we walked right in and got a prime table by the window. I had Foie Grois, gazpacho, and duck. Everything was excellent and recommended.

The food and service are good. But, be prepared for a very noisy meal unless you sit outside.

Lately I have been enjoying C'est la Vie on Main Street for a light lunch.Their bakery products are wonderful.

I think you need to distinguish between Cork upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs must be the area you are saying is noisy. That's where they have an excellent but "lighter" menu, with tables in the downstairs section of the restaurant and also out on the sidewalk. Upstairs, is where they have their fancier restaurant and it's always quiet, including last night when I dined there. The only exception to this is if you choose to eat in their upstairs bar section (which I've never done) -- that can be noisy when they have live music -- but that's the point of live music. ;-)
Cork upstairs remains one of the top tables in Sarasota.

- Completely agree. Cork (upstairs) is by far one of the top 3 dining destinations in all of Sarasota and neighboring Keys IMO... have NEVER had a bad experience there and is our top place to recommend to visitors and guests
