Beef Dip / French Dip Sandwich

Where can I find an amazing beef dip sandwich in downtown Toronto? No fancy restaurants though...I can't afford that.

I don't know that I would call this an amazing sandwich but I seem to remember (it's been about a year) my son ordering and enjoying a beef dip sandwich at the Ritz Diner on Donlands. I can't remember the price, but everything is reasonable there, and the portion was substantial. Sorry I can't be of more help.

If you are ever in Streetsville in Mississauga you should drop by Bobby's Hideaway. Their beef dip is amazing.

When I go to Moxie's I'll order the beef dip sometimes.. it's good, but not sure if it's "amazing".

I had the prime rib dip at the Keg last week at it was FANTASTIC! (perhaps augmented by the fact I was really hungry) It was $16 or so.. The beef dip was $13 I think..

Just to clarify...I am looking for a sandwich on great bread, with a generous helping of beef, and au jus for dipping. I'm not talking au jus like Quizno's sandwiches used to have, which was more like a gravy. Any other interesting variations on this sandwich would also be welcome! I remember once place I went to topped the sandwich with crispy onion straws. mmmm....
