Looking for choice taco bars

ohdaylay Feb 12, 2009 01:58 PM

I really enjoy the taco bar at La Fiesta Grande on Colorado in Pasadena. They serve all the ingredients in individual bowls. Overall, the place is so-so, but gotta love that taco bar. At any rate, I was wondering if there were others like it around town. I've had variations, but some places run it like a buffet. Yuk. I like it when the wait staff brings you a platter and hovers around enough to swap out an empty for one brimming with taco goodness at a moment's notice or with the slightest gesture.

Nobody knows of a good taco bar? Guess I'll stick to La Fiesta Grande.

Okay . . . what in the world is a taco bar?

An all you can eat deal where they bring all the fixins in separate bowls and you do the rest. Some places do a buffet kind of thing, which sucks.

I'm sorry, still not getting it. They have bowls of meat? I've never heard of such a thing. Sorry I'm of no help but the whole concept is fascinating.
