Great Places to Eat in East Texas Area? Need Suggestions
We are going to be spending the weekend in the East Texas area (Canton/Tyler/Mineola) at the end of the month and I need some dinner suggestions. We already have reservations at Four Winds in Canton for one night (love this place, we've have been here many times before). Need some suggestions for the next night-can anyone recommend any good places in Canton, Tyler, Mineola, Kilgore, Longview? Any place is fine-casual or gormet-we just like good ,flavorful food. We all adore Seafood, BBQ, Cajun, Italian, Soulfood/Home Cooking, Thai-you name it.

I just posted on another question so don't mean to sound repetitive- we enjoyed a beautiful evening and very good meal at Rick's on the Square in Tyler last summer. Great blues band on the patio.

Kitchen's in Mineola is very unique. It's a cafe wihin an old hardware store. Mostly burgers, sandwiches, salads etc. Have eaten there twice - very good. I beleive they have steaks on Saturday.

Country Tavern BBQ between Kilgore and Tyler is very good for ribs. Not much else to recommend, in my view. Rick's on the Square is decent, but nothing to rave about.
